The Craftsman
Forcible Entry Door
The Craftsman Forcible Entry training system is the most versatile door prop on the market today that provides the greatest realistic, replicable conditions for all teams and budgets.
The Craftsman is the most versatile forcible entry door on the market today. With the frame made of heavy duty steel, you will no longer have to worry about your prop’s lasting durability. The door’s toughness and durability don’t hinder its portability, either. The Craftsman is easily disassembled and reassembled as needed, which provides a great solution for multiple station departments, training centers, and training groups.
With both inward- and outward-swinging forcing capabilities, as well as our proprietary double layered polymer door panels, our system provides realistic door flex and reaction. Our patented Forcible Entry Door Stile System (FEDSS) gives each force performed the real life experience and feel of an actual door.
Legacy door props use one piece steel jambs that will not deform under use. In the real world, almost all wooden and some metal jambs will crush, break away, or splinter under force. This creates an unstable fulcrum for your prying, and may decrease the throw distance of your 2” Halligan adze until the 1-3/4” door is not pushed far enough past the edge of the frame to provide you space to set the tool.
This mismatch between the expectation developed in training and how the jamb reacts in reality has created the over application of adze based techniques in our training. With this design, however, the firefighter has a visual, tactile, and audible cue that adze work will not be viable, telling them to switch to the forks. The jamb sections can be swapped from steel to wood quickly, allowing you to train in series, creating an algorithm for defeating the door.

Door Panels
Double door configuration for Inward/Outward swinging capability on left and right hinged doors.
Proprietary double layered polymer door panels. These polymer door panels are highly durable, yet offer the same flexibility as a real door, offering the most realistic training experience available.
Adjustable door gap.
FEDSS
Bolts onto the door.
Uses 2” by 2” furring strips for edge to gap.
Approximately 12 forces per furring strip edge
Tool-less edge replacement for less downtime and more training reps
Jamb Strip can be replaced with 1x2 furring strip to simulate jamb failure.
Wood Boxes (Resistance)
Uses either 1” by 2” or 2” by 2” furring strips for force resistance; no more rip cutting 2x4’s.
Multiple resistance options for variable difficulty and realism.
Additional Wood Box option available
